Morah Esther Malamud Hoffer and Rabbi Amram Hoffer classes learned all about Yom Kippur and its intricate laws!! Finally we started our Hebrew Aleph Champ program which the kids absolutely loved even though not being held in its normal designated place:). Cant wait to see everyone next week!!
Man these weeks keep flying by!! This week Rabbi Amram took his students on a journey to 7-11 to relive The Exodus-the whole reason for the holiday of Sukkot!! Meanwhile Morah Esther taught her students all about the logistics of making a kosher Sukkah. Finally Morah Tammy had her class experience the Lulav Shake by having her kids use a show and tell set. Yum!! Check out those amazing Sukkah snacks each student made:) Big shout out to Rabbi Amram for showing our students a real Lulav and Esrog set!!
How can learning be this much fun? This week Rabbi Amram's class learned about the history of the Jewish people post bible era. Ask yourself what is the Tanach! Literally!! Please take it easy with all this fun!! What an amazing week!! Rabbi Amram's class learned all about the importance of the land of Israel and why it holds a special place in everyone's heart. Morah Esther's class took a hands on approach to their lesson by going to Publix and finding kosher foods which they bought and enjoyed for a delicious snack. Don't worry moms they only bought vegetables and healthy food;))))(YEAH RIGHT!!). Morah Tammy's class is recreating the six days of creation with their insanely cute project!! Enjoy!!
Man oh man!! Love this place!! What an awesome week!! This week we had a very special presentation by the Rabbi Sholom Dubov himself!! He taught the two oldest grades all about what makes a mezuzah and teffilin kosher! He showed the kids the risks of not guarding and keeping close care of these holy objects! Great stories of the sages were shared as well! We even got to examine a real torah! Thank you Rabbi Dubov for teaching us!! Morah Tammies class continued their work with the seven days of creation and learned the Hebrew letters of "Hey" and "Vav"... We would like to welcome Zia to our youngest class!! Also a big thank you to our conversational Hebrew speaking teacher Morah Rebbeca!
Another week! Its been a blast that keeps on going:) This week Rabbi Amram's class learned about the awesome Judge Devorah, the only woman judge in the Tanach and spent sometime outside enjoying the beautiful weather!
