We are living in very dark times. Who could have imagined that we would witness the horrific attack, murderous pogroms and barbaric holocaust that just took place on October 7th. It has left us all stunned with disbelief that we could be experiencing this in our time. We pray every day that all of our hostages are released at once. We pray that those already returned are healed of the physical, emotional, and psychological pain they are enduring. We pray for the families who have been broken, displaced and left homeless. We pray for those that are still missing. We pray for the security and safety of our soldiers and for all of our Jewish brethren around the world during these hateful and trying times.
Because of the level of pain that we have experienced, we have also had the merit to witness something very unique, heartwarming and powerful. We have come together like true family standing UNITED like never before! We must continue to look after each other and to do whatever we can to help our brothers and sisters in Israel and wherever they may be.
Rather than to be despaired, frightened or anxious, we must be ACTIVE, PROUD and MOTIVATED to do something more than we were doing before. Every act of goodness, kindness, charity, and a Mitzvah adds in bringing more light into the world and automatically dispels the darkness. We have all asked the Question....
WHAT CAN I DO FOR ISRAEL?
How can I help a soldier stay safe?, How can I help bring a hostage home? How can I help win this war of hate, crime and antisemitism? The answer is..... to BE THE LIGHT!
Chabad is on the FRONT LINES! There are 100's of Chabad emissaries literally in Gaza. Some are in the IDF fighting on the ground, many are offering support to our soldiers in whatever capacity necessary. Chabad is on the front lines in every community around the globe and Chabad is on the front lines right here in Greater Orlando helping you and the thousands of Jewish community members bring more light into the world!
