What is Chabad of Greater Orlando?
In one word Chabad is Love for your Fellow and That is what Chabad does best.!
This year of 2021 has been a steady and consistent year of recovery relief and return! With so many still lonely, depressed, lost, jobless, and overwhelmed Chabad has worked diligently to bring life back to dozens of individuals and delicately help so many get back into the game at their comfort zone. Chabad is here for the entire community all year round and any time of day. Although many suffered greatly from the conditions of Covid-19, there is always a way to see the bright side in every situation. There are many silver linings in life and many that brought great experiences during this past year. Chabad looks for the good in everything! Covid made us aware of many who needed help even though they are no longer suffering directly from pandemic results. Covid made us more sensitive and made us go beyond the average daily means and Covid brought awareness of situations and conditions that gave Staff members even more opportunities to be there for individuals, even though in essence, some were not about the pandemic at all. The staff at Chabad has been busy since, making personal home visits, calling to check up on members of our community, providing full Shabbat meals for elderly or challenged individuals. Chabad has been providing comfort, conversation, classes and counsel by phone, zoom and once again in person. Chabad is Love! Love is looking after each and every person to make sure each have what they need whether it be physical, spiritual or emotional.
In addition, Chabad continues the world of CHS -Hebrew School, Mommy and Me, CTeen and Jr. CTeen, Bar/Bat Mitzvah Club, JLI- The Jewish Learning Institute, RCS - Womens Rosh Chodesh Society, Womens events, Family socials, Holiday events and programs and many more activities to ensure that education and love for our Jewish Heritage continues for children and adults on every level. The light in a child’s eyes when he/she reads the first Hebrew word and the enlightenment any age student gets from a refreshing Torah thought is in itself healing and rejuvenating.
While many organizations were cutting salaries and laying off employees, Chabad increased work loads. Not only did Chabad increase work but even established another Chabad Center in Clermont serving the South Lake County areas.
Chabad will always be a helping hand in times of need. Chabad is a home away from home for every Jew in Greater Orlando. We are dedicated to serving you and our community - and now we’re asking for your support to help us continue to be there for our community, bringing joy, smiles, solace and a bright Jewish future, together.
How does a Match Campaign work?
Running an operation like Chabad of Greater Orlando requires a major investment of time, energy, and capital. While our Rabbis and Rebbetzins work tirelessly to ensure that no Jew is left behind, the day-to-day expenses of operating a Chabad Center can be daunting. Rather than charging membership fees or exorbitant event prices, which could alienate some people, we rely on the generosity of the community that we serve. To that end, 7 generous donors have come forward with a proposal to help Chabad thrive this year. They will collectively donate the generous amount of $50,000, provided that it is matched by an equal donation from our community. For this December 1-9 Chanukah end of Year Matching Campaign only, YOUR DOLLAR WILL HAVE DOUBLE THE IMPACT!

You can be a partner in everything we do to benefit the residents of Greater Orlando by contributing to our campaign between December 1st-9th of 2021, and by spreading the word.
