Dear Chabad Family:

In response to the Coronavirus pandemic and its rapid outbreak and increased risk to the community, we are sending this urgent message:
Upon the advice of leading health care professionals and in consultation with Florida Rabbis, we are suspending all Chabad activities, including services, classes, and meetings until further notice.

The mere thought of closing the doors and shutting our Chabad center is unbearably painful. We are a community of closeness and unity and the idea of disbanding, separating, and isolating from one another goes against our core values as a Shliach and ambassador of the Rebbe to Central Florida.

We need to take responsibility and do all that we can to arrest and remove the Coronavirus from our midst. In order to accomplish this, we need to maximize social distancing, best achieved by avoiding all gatherings.

I urge all our friends, supporters and admirers to take the following precautions:
⁃        Remain in your homes at all times.
Leave your home only as necessary.
Elderly and the ill should not socialize at all. This includes even contact with your young children and grandchildren.
If you have flu-like symptoms, impose a self-quarantine for yourself and do not have contact with anyone.
Wash your hands regularly especially when you are returning to your house, exit the bathroom, before you prepare food and upon awakening in the morning.
Do not invite guests to your home nor should you make any social visits.
Prepare for this Shabbat in a special way. Prepare your foods before sundown on Friday. Light the Shabbat candles on Friday eve March 20, 2020 at 7:00PM. Spend time with your immediate family in rest and tranquillity. May the harmony and peace we bring to the Shabbat day usher in to this world a global Shabbat of peace and health.

I pray that Almighty G‑d shine his countenance upon us all and remove all sickness and suffering with the imminent arrival of Moshiach NOW!!
